His leadership has also helped shape Georgia’s economic growth, earning appointments from multiple governors to lead transformative projects—including the redevelopment of Fort McPherson, a 487-acre former military base and the largest economic development project Atlanta has seen in decades. He also serves on the board for Georgia Department of Economic Development and the Georgia Tourism Foundation, advancing opportunities that drive growth across the state.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in Orlando, Cassius grew up in a family rooted in faith, education, and entrepreneurship. His mother was a small business owner, and his father an aerospace engineer, teaching him and his brother that success begins with integrity, hard work, and service to others.
Those early lessons shaped the values that continue to guide his purpose today—to lead with vision, create opportunity, and help others rise. Cassius earned a bachelor’s in psychology from Morehouse College, a master’s in public administration from Clark Atlanta University, and a Grant Writing Certificate from Emory University—building on the belief that learning, like leadership, is a lifelong pursuit.
